Tulika blogathon

Here's some of the songs I rem and some my helped me recollect. I do sing it for Krish often.
Writing the english translation was funny ;)
This is also my entry in Tulika Blogathon and the rhymes are in Marathi.

Adgula Madgula sonyacha kadgula
Roopya chya bala
tanhya bala la teet tila

Oh my golden baby, silver baby, let me put black spot (nazar) for you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luv luv salunki
mutya kashya vali
mama yei khobryachi vati devun jai
mami yei khobrachi vati gehun jai
mazhy bala upashi tevi

look look birdie
how baby closes its palms
Mama (maternal uncle) comes, gives coconut
Mami (maternal uncles wife) comes, takes it back
Keeps the baby hungry
----------------------------------------------------------------
zuk zuk agin gadi,
dhuranchya resha havet sodi,
palati zhade pahu ya
mama chya gavala jau ya

Train sound, train
leaves smoke lines in the air
lets see the trees that appear to be running
lets go to Mama;s place
------------------------------------------------------------
chandomama chando mama bhaglas ka
limboni chya zhada mage laplas ka
limboni che zhad karvandi
mama cha wada chirebandi
mamchya wadyat yeun ja
tup roti khaun ja
tupat padli mashi
chandomama rahila upashi

Hey moon did u sleep
or u are hiding behind the tree (limboni tree)
Tree is gracious
mamas (maternal uncle)house is fortified
Come to Mama's house
eat chapati and ghee
The fly fell in the ghee
Moon didnt get anything to eat
-----------------------------------------------------------------
yere yere pawasa
tula deto paisa
paisa zhala khota
paus ala motta

Come, come rain
I will give u a paisa
paisa is fake
So its raining heavily
--------------------------------------------------
ye ga ye ga saari
tuzhe madke bhari
sar aali dhavun
madke gele vahun

come rain,
fill your pot
rain comes raining (it rains heavily)
pot is lost in the rain

Trip to Pondicherry

It was Krish's first trip to Pondi...3 hrs drive with a little bit of crying was indeed an indication I am ready to travel :). Tatta and Auwa (Grandfather and Grandmother) were happy to have Krish and he was at home instantaneously. I got a chance to show off a bit of my Tamil speaking skills, not sure if Mom and Dad were impressed :). My greatest moment was buying all the decorative items for our apt, we bought from Sunday bazar..Will put up the pics .The Wind Chime, the shell curtain, terracotta Ganesh and (lady, ganesh, birdies) all made of shells. We also got a conch shell ....Must say I am happy with the results after putting all these things in place :) .
